Back Tabletop RPG map editor (v0.3) 6 | ♥ 1

Another release with all major features implemented:

  • save / load to disk (uncompressed XML format),
  • export PNG image
  • local auto-save (cookie) / reload on page refresh
  • map panning
  • more assets (rocks, trees, furniture, blur…)

Controls:

  • Left click: add/remove, depending on context
  • Right click: tools
  • Middle click: scroll map
  • R: rotate current asset on map
  • Arrows: pan the map (be careful not to lose border elements)

Next features:

  • performance tweaking,
  • text labels,
  • area painting (rectangles).

    Depuis le temps que je teste tout ce qui est existe en logiciels et applications pour pouvoir me faire des plans de bâtiments !!

    Nice!
    Another bug spotted when panning: the random assets (based on X/Y) are not updated, thus when reloading they look totally different (but since we cannot choose the model is not a big deal).

    That would be nice to have:
    – doors auto-orientation
    – when clicking an asset to delete it, and holding the click, only remove this kind of assets (useful to deforest safely preserving local wildlife ;))
    – consequently, it would need a generic delete tool which delete any asset (actual behavior)
    – a tool to move assets (M key?) especially useful on assets bigger than 1×1
