My very first beat-em-up game, massively inspired by Double Dragon and Street of Rage!
I hope you like it.
What was great:
- I was really happy when the overall combat feeling! Diablo 3 inspired me a lot, they use many great & clever tricks to achieve this feeling.
- the traditional beat-em-up gameplay is faithful to original models
- I made a music \(^_^)/ Well, I know it sucks and it is really basic, but I made one!
- I was in coding fury on Saturday! Lots of work has been done in quite a short time!
What went wrong :
- I couldn’t figure a game idea until Saturday morning, and thus lost lots of time
- I wasn’t really efficient on Sunday : I lost myself in trivial detail, and didn’t work on important parts…
- couldn’t make a decent ending
This leaves lots of room for a post compo version, so maybe I will work on that soon…
the final stage is too hard, they are too many bombs so we cannot react

I would recommend changing the programming. When the player is on the ground they should not throw bombs as they are immobilized.
You fucked up with those pumpkins bomb. They threw them like crazy motherfuckers. From me? Strong 2/10.

Hello there! The game is excellent !! very funny and very good game mechanics! I'm restarting with haxe. I'm trying to make a beat em up (look many alternatives, as Construct2 and Gamemaker, but no engine makes creating them) and I wanted to ask if you've been able to make jumps in these games, jumps on different platforms and over different objects. I think it's more complicated than a simple beat em up, and there is very little documentation. I congratulate you on the game and I hope to get in touch with you to inform and to make 2.5D jumping posible!!
Hey great stuff, really enjoyed the game. Which framework of Haxe did you use to create this? And could you do a tutorial for a beat em up game? I am starting out with Haxe so a tutorial like that would really help. Either way, great work!

The boss is very easy, it has lost of life, but their moves are so basic…
Just hit the boss, when he's liyng down, dash to the oposite side.
If you are low in life, break the shelves or kill enemies to gain chickens and apples. when he's lying down, take a kitten-sculpture, and throw it at he when he stands up, (after he throws the bomb). If he asks for backup, kill 'em.
Nice game, the style is cool and i like the humor. As some said before, i find it too difficult – maybe mostly because the time between strokes for a dash is very short, or maybe i can't dash multiple times.
I think one needs a strategy for the end boss, with carefully engagin only for one hit combo.

But round 4 too hard and too much based on luck.
The bombs are really frustrating and can block you in a corner until you die…
I also get a Target Renegade feeling from this game. Nice work!
man, what a great game.. but jeepus… its WAY!!!! too hard at the end boss.. the difficulty ramps up 10 fold.. amazing game.. your wasted on these little comp entries.. you need to work on a big production..
