For some reasons, Intrusion was a game I really loved, as much as it was a commercial failure.
You are a hacker and your goal is to accept missions, earn money, upgrade & accept harder missions. You explore computer networks and try to break through firewalls & user defenses.
One of the funny aspect of this game was the fact that each file on a computer hard drive could be opened. Everything was proceduraly generated for every missions, and you could read e-mails, documents, explore logs, and even watch “not-always-safe-for-work” videos hidden in user personal folders. I wrote many content generators to produce random corporate mails and used on-the-fly YouTube queries to link random video titles with actual existing videos etc.
For example, having a file called “Funny monkey dance.mp4” would be displayed using the first YouTube result with the file name as a query. It was definitely doing the trick most of the time ;)
Where is it possible to play?
Could you make an HTML5 version of this?
I really love the Flash game, I just wish it would not die with Flash.
It's a very old title, but why not, at some point :) I still like Bomberman games.
