This is my compo for the Ludum Dare 23 (theme: Tiny World).
Day 4380 of your prison term. 12 years. And many more to come.
But something strange is happening today… A mysterious puzzle seems to unfold in your cell.
Cool features :
- super-old-school gameplay!
- 256+ colors scenes! Woot!
- many many texts to read and lots of details!
- an ingame help system, in case you are really stuck!
I tried to make a “SCUMM-VM”-like for this Ludum Dare to finally discover the huge amount of work needed to do that properly…
I didn’t have much time for the sounds, I spent most of my weekend on the engine and on the texts. Also, being French, so I had to check the dictionary every 10 seconds…
You can download the original 48h version too.
that was a fun game MAKE ANOTHER ONE!!!!!!!!!!!
Listen: At the Arthur park, there is no way to go back. If you're there and you don't have the broom, reload.
;)
How come the fork in the kitchen had one prong left? Did someone break/bend all of the prongs -1 after breakfast or lunch or dinner?
He said I don'k know. What does that even mean?
I don't like the noise. I wish that it WAS a game where you actually try to escape jail.
cara eu adorei esse jogo mesmo sendo curto

Wonderful game! Brought back great memories of those early PC games like Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle. Thanks!
I really like that game and his creativity.
But… the toilets. Where are toilets in his cell?
A very beautifully made game… but the reason he's been locked up for 12 years is driving me crazy! It's not like "In the company of Myself", as far as I can see…
I mean it's never explained. Was it meant to be?
Thank you! There are actually a few clues in game, but you will have to make your own interpretation.
I really enjoyed this game. Had a creative vibe to it.
